Review: Friday Night with Uppermost in Santa Monica

Last night was my first Friday night in Santa Monica as a California resident and it was great, mostly because of Uppermost’s dope set. For those who are not familiar with Uppermost and his music, he’s a French electronic music producer mainly known for his two tracks: “Beautiful Light” and “Flashback”.

I was a little hesitant about going out due to LA’s rainy night, but things worked out. This was also my first time at West End and didn’t know what to expect but I was still excited. As I walked into the venue the walls were decorated with neon lights and very artsy decor — which I loved!

The place started getting packed around 10:30PM and the crowd was ready to dance. Everyone was dancing with everyone, just having a good time. There was also a point where a circle was formed and people started taking turns freestyling in the center.

However, once Uppermost arrived all eyes were on him. People were ready for his music and excited to see his set. The crowd was going crazy as he mixed throughout the night and you could tell he was also excited to be there — enjoying himself as he played the night away.

It was definitely a fun night with good people and awesome music. I’ll be listening to Uppermost a lot more,  specially his new single “Perseverance” ft. Harry Pane that was just released yesterday. Go check it out!
