Bag Raiders’ First Time in Dallas

It was exciting to know that I experienced Bag Raiders’ first time performing and visiting the wonderful city of Dallas. I was introduced to their music by my best friend quite a few years ago and even though I hadn’t kept up with their most recent releases, it was nice to know that I wasn’t the only one.

On the day of the event I found out that many people were there for the same reasons I was: because of their love towards Bag Raiders’ throwback music. Yet it was not surprising finding out that their new album was just as good. Have I also mentioned the venue was perfect?

Club Dada has been one of my favorite venues in Dallas/Deep Ellum because of its small size. It’s one of those places where you get to experience a show at a more personal level and also having easy access to the artists after their performance. It had been a few years since my last time at Club Dada and it was very satisfying being back.

P1000006To finish this off I want to talk about a new artist that has caught my eye. Paper Plates, the DJ who opened for Bag Raiders, has now been added to my “artists to
listen to” list. Throughout his set, he played various songs that I still can’t forget. It was definitely the perfect music combo that night.

If you’re like me and enjoy Bag Raiders’ old album, don’t think twice about listening to their new one (if you haven’t done so already). Hopefully these guys had as much fun in Dallas as I did and maybe we might see them back here again.
