This past Saturday, December 12th, A-Trak along with Araabmuzik and Falcons sold out Terminal 5 in New York City. Being my first time at this venue I was excited to see what it was all about and of course to see such great artists perform there.
As many already know, the venue is huge, it’s a three floor type of warehouse (also having a rooftop for tobacco smokers) and artists must have a big following to fill that place up. It’s amazing how many people were there that night and I’m sure it’s an amazing feeling for the artists to see their fans fill it out.
Falcons (who I wasn’t really familiar with before the show) pumped the crowd with his amazing R&B and Hip Hop throwbacks as he danced throughout his set, plus his incredible energy made it hard not to fall in love with it. My friend and I couldn’t stop dancing to his music and I can now say I’m a fan.
Araabmuzik was next, but his set is a little harder to describe. Maybe it’s a typical Araabmuzik move, but the lighting was dark throughout his set which made it hard to see him perform. This is when I decided to take a break from the crowd and explore the venue. I was amazed on the various spots Terminal 5 has and met so many great people that night.
And of course last but not least, A-Trak. His set was everything I expected and even better. It was easy to see how much he was enjoying his performance. And of course there was a special appearance from the Chromeo duo, Dave 1 (his brother) and P-Thugg. Showing support to the fam!
A-Trak played all the crowd’s favorites and more. It was a long set so there’s not doubt he was exhausted after the show, but totally worth it! I’m excited to see what’s coming next and how much more his musical career will keep growing. Congrats to the Fool’s Gold family for putting one of the best shows I’ve ever experienced.
