Huge fans of house music, underground music, deep house music, or all of the above, know that Justin Martin has it all figured out. FYI: This past weekend I made my biggest record on FitBit, with 17k steps on Saturday, thanks to this dude. I honestly had the best time, especially because my best friends came to visit me in Dallas.
This past Saturday, July 18th, Justin Martin — DJ and producer — played at It’ll Do Club. Dallas locals who love dancing to good music know that this place has the best DJs. Once you walk through the door you know you’re bound to have a good time. It’s one of those places where worrying is not allowed. You don’t have to worry about your outfit, snobby individuals, or mean bouncers. It’ll Do offers a relaxed atmosphere so you can dance the night away with friends, have fun, and meet new people.
Anyway, this was my second time seeing Justin Martin live. I saw him a couple of months ago at CRSSD Fest in San Diego, CA. However, I honestly didn’t enjoy it as much as I did on Saturday. There were numerous people who drove from different cities just to see him play. I met people from Oklahoma, others took Justin M. a gigantic pizza from Serious Pizza –a well known Dallas pizza place– and an emo toy baby. Not gonna lie, the pizza looked delicious and well the baby was kinda creepy, but kind of cool at the same time.
Of course, he played my favorite song at the end –Stay– and my phone decided to have trouble issues. I wish I could’ve recorded it all, but at least I took a short snap of it. Overall, the night was a success and I know I’m not the only one who enjoyed it. There was definitely a lot going on all in one place. I’m still kind of curious as to where the pizza ended up.
If you haven’t listened to Justin Martin or never been to It’ll Do, I highly recommend you do both. Never expect anything to go the way you plan, because it’s likely it will turn out way better than expected.
Favorite and known songs: Function, Stay, and Don’t Go.
