Gesaffelstein at The Fonda Theatre

So I finally saw Gesaffelstein live at the Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles. The show was amazing, I had never experienced a show just like the one he put on. His dark gothic techno music and his enthusiasm and passion while playing was incredible. Plus, the light and screen effects behind him were one of the most important elements of his show and what I think made his music a lot more personal to each individual in the audience.

Of course, Gesaffelstein was the best dressed that night, wearing a dark suit as if he was attending The Oscars. I personally love it because it makes him a lot more sophisticated and different from other DJs. We usually see DJs wearing plain tees and jeans, but this is not the case. The way Gesaffelstein dresses makes him stand out from all the rest together with his mesmerizing music.

And how to forget he is one, or may I say, the only DJ who can pull off smoking cigarettes the entire set. Cigarettes have become part of his personal brand and what makes him look as if he was brought from the 60s or the Mad Men cast.

I’m more than excited to see him again in August at Lollapalooza in Chicago. So to those who are attending don’t miss out on Gesaffelstein!

Here are some of the pictures I took that night and a short video too. It was a sold out show, so sorry for the semi-blurry pictures. I tried my best, enjoy!
