Last Friday, 10/04/13, I decided to take a trip to the beautiful city of Austin. Before deciding to go on this trip I questioned myself a number of times. With midterms coming up and the work overload I wasn’t sure heading to Austin was such a good idea. Unfortunately, I had to take ACL off from my to do list. However, HAIM, which was mainly the reason I wanted to go to this festival, was supposedly having a free performance at a bar.

I took my backpack with me and decided to take a bus. I literally did most of my homework and studying in a Greyhound. I was obviously not letting this opportunity go to waste!

The event was pretty fun, however only one of HAIM’s members presented herself. She was only djing music at the bar so none of their songs were played. I’m not going to lie, it was disappointing, but at the same time I enjoyed myself. I am glad I went because not only did I get to be face to face with Este, but I got to spend time with friends from back home.
